test and validate QSFP+ designs including for a switch

The ExpressPort? QSFP+ E-Series and H-Series connector families are rated to 28 Gbps and 40 Gbps respectively per channel (4x28), featuring a stamped and formed contact design providing improved mechanical durability. This connector features an integrated grounding structure and resonance dampening features for superior crosstalk performance. The contact design is optimized for a smooth impedance pro le resulting in improved SI performance. The QSFP connector, cage and cable assemblies and loopbacks are part of a highly-integrated system that combines optimal real estate, power and port density. Molex 's Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable QSFP+ Transceivers solution is designed for high-density applications. Components of the system include the Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) shielding cage, passive cable assembly and a 38-circuit SMT host connector.
QSFP cables (QSFP Plus) interconnect system – 40 Gb/s bandwidth (4x10) capability. FCI ‘s QSFP+ interconnect system increases 10G/s per channel port density and enables users to better utilize available linear board space The QSFP cables (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable) interconnect system consists of a 38 position connector, EMI cage and copper based cable assemblies that allows the user to increase linear PCB board port signal density well above that of the XFP, SFP or SFP+ I/O systems. This product offering has been designed to meet the emerging industry bandwidth needs of 40 Gb/s per port capability as defined by the IEEE 802.3ba specification as well latching system as Infiniband QDR and FibreChannel. System functionality is defined by and meets industry standards SFF-8436 specifications and delivers 4 times the port bandwidth capability of SFP+ systems. This system is particularly well suited for high transactional systems that are typically deployed in data center, networking and high performance computing applications.
